Payment Agreements

Arrangements may be made for participants who wish to divide the training fee into a series of payments.  Complete the  BeHOPE MediCal Peer Support Training Payment Agreement Form.  You may access the form by clicking this link: https://form.jotform.com/SterlingSolutions/behopepaymentagreementform   If you wish to make payment arrangements other Option 1 or Option 2 in the form.  Select "OTHER" and reach out to the administration team at admin@pmhsworkforce.org. 

Fee schedule and refund/cancellation policy and refund procedure

Some participants, depending on availability and qualification, may be eligible for a California Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training scholarship. Participants whose participation is subsidized from any public or private scholarship program will not be entitled to any sort of refund.

If a participant is private pay, they may be entitled to a refund of payments made to the BeHOPE Program for Medi-Cal Peer Specialist Training under the following circumstances:

· A participant who has paid part or all the training fee and, for any reason, does not attend orientation and does not plan to train with the BeHOPE program, and contacts the training coordinator and/or program administrator to state their intent not to train may be entitled to a full refund of the training fee less a 5% processing fee if the request is made within 30 days of the orientation start date for the cohort they applied for. If a refund request is made after the 30-day period, fifty percent (50%) of the amount paid shall be refunded.

  

If a participant has paid for training and does not attend orientation but contacts the training coordinator or the program administrator and makes arrangements to resume training in the current cohort or resume training in the next cohort, fees paid may be credited for future training.

· A participant who starts training and withdraws during the first full calendar week of the training period shall be obligated for twenty-five percent of the training fee plus a registration fee.

· A participant who starts training and withdraws during the second full calendar week of the training period shall be obligated for fifty percent of the training fee and plus the registration fee.

· A participant who starts training and withdraws during the third full calendar week of the training period shall be obligated for seventy-five percent of the training fee plus the registration fee.

· A participant who starts training withdraws after the fourth full calendar week of the academic  term will not be entitled to any refund of any portion of the training fee and fees.

Refund requests may take up to 15 days to process. 

Participant's right to cancel

  

Participants have the right to cancel involvement in the BeHOPE training program, without any penalty or obligations, through the fifth calendar day after the first-class session. After the end of the cancellation period, participants also have the right to stop training at any time; and receive a pro-rated refund if you have completed 60 percent or less of the scheduled days in the current training cohort through the last day of attendance.

Cancellation may occur when the participant submits a written notice of cancellation by mail or email to Sterling Solutions BeHOPE Program. If by mail, the following address should be used: 15000 Seventh Street Suite 212C, Victorville, CA 92395.

The written notice of cancellation, if sent by mail, is effective when deposited in the mail properly addressed with proper postage.

The written notice of cancellation need not take any particular form and, however, expressed, it is effective if it shows that the participant no longer wishes to be in the training.

Once noticed is received, Sterling Solutions will refund the participant any money he or she paid within 15 days after the notice of cancellation is received.

Withdrawal from training

  

For determining a refund under this section, a participant will be considered to have officially withdrawn from a training program when either of the following occurs:

The participant notifies BeHOPE of his or her withdrawal or as of the date of the student’s withdrawal, whichever is later.

BeHOPE terminates the student’s enrollment for failure to maintain satisfactory progress; failure to abide by the program’s rules and regulations; absences in excess of the maximum allowed by the BeHOPE program; and/or failure to meet financial obligations to the program.

For determining a refund under this section, a participant will be considered to have unofficially withdrawn from a program of instruction when the following occurs:

The participant has failed to attend training for 14 calendar days and has had no contact with the training coordinator, supervisors or BeHOPE Administration.

For determining the amount of the refund, the date of the student’s withdrawal shall be deemed the last date of recorded attendance. The amount owed equals the daily charge for the program (total institutional charge, minus non-refundable fees, divided by the number of days in the program), multiplied by the number of days scheduled to attend, prior to withdrawal.

For determining when the refund must be paid, the participant will be considered as having withdrawn at the end of 14 calendar days of non-attendance and having had no contact with the institution.

For programs beyond the current “payment period,” if you withdraw prior to the next payment period, all charges collected for the next period will be refunded. If any portion of the training fee was paid from the proceeds of a third party, the refund shall be sent to the third party or, if appropriate, to the state or federal agency that guaranteed or reinsured program payment.

Applications are now open for the July 2025 Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training session.

Due to recent federal cuts to nonprofit budgets, we are only accepting participants who are self-pay or whose training is funded by an external organization.

We are working to secure funding to reinstate our scholarship program and will post a notification when scholarships become available.
