We are excited to share that CalMHSA is offering new fee‑waiver opportunities to support peers on their path toward Medi‑Cal Peer Support Specialist certification. These waivers are designed to remove financial barriers and expand access to high‑quality, lived‑experience‑centered training.

CalMHSA is offering four types of waivers:

• Application Fee Waiver
• Exam Fee Waiver
• CMPSS Renewal Fee Waiver
• 80‑Hour Core Training Fee Waiver (limited availability)

Sterling Solutions has been allocated a limited number of $1,600 training fee waivers for the 80‑hour Medi‑Cal Peer Support Specialist Core Training.

• 15 waivers available
• Covers the full cost of the 80‑hour training
• Open to both new students and alumni who still need the core training
• Recipients are selected by our agency
• Waivers are non‑transferable and must be used by July 31, 2026

• Individuals with lived experience who want to begin their Peer Support career
• Alumni who completed other components but still need the 80‑hour core training
